Shaved in Side Part with Outlined Sides - Hairstyle information:
What to ask for in the barbershop: Ask your barber to clipper cut the back and sides with a #1 clip, faded down to a #0.5 or #0. The fade is key, so make sure this is well worked into your top section. Make sure they go fairly high with the clippers. Ask for a 'hard part' - otherwise known as a shaved in side part - along your natural part line.
Explain that you like to wear your style controlled on top and controlled at the sides.
Ideal hair type: Good for all fine-medium types. Not great if you are thinning on top or have a receding hair line.
Styled with: Uppercut Deluxe Pomade, Uppercut Deluxe Tortoiseshell Comb
How to recreate at home: Start with dry hair. Take a generous scoop of Uppercut Deluxe Pomade and spread evenly across both hands - fingers and palms. Start by using open hands to smooth product through your top section, working from front to back. Use your palms to smooth your sides into shape, followed by your fingertips to spread product along your parting.
Once product has been applied, use an Uppercut Deluxe comb to comb your style into shape. Start by combing along the part line across the top, lifting the front 2-3 inches to give some height to your style. Next, gently comb your fringe backwards and into your already lifted section. Lastly, make sure to comb along your short section. Make sure not to flatten your top section as you go.
