Charlie Venn, owner of Luck Sevens Barbershop, lives and breathes barbering. With relatives that were hairdressers, Charlie was surrounded by the industry and something that he knew he wanted to be involved in from a young age.
Though it wasn’t til Charlie got a haircut at an Uppercut Deluxe Pop Up and purchased his first tin of Monster Hold that he decided to take the plunge and dive headfirst into Barbering.
From that moment, nothing could stand in his in his way. A few years and a lot of hard work later, Charlie opened his very first shop, Lucky Sevens Barbershop.
Lucky Sevens is a mix of old and new, Charlie has taken his favourite elements of the classic American Barbershop and combined them with modern touches like bright lights and vibrant colours. The shop is really a reflection on Charlie and his style, a guy who pays respect to the past but isn’t afraid to put his own spin on things.
You can say the same about his approach to cutting hair. Charlie is a master at ‘modern classics’, cuts that are inspired by classic 40’s style but bought into the 21st century with extra volume, texture and a softer finish.
Devoted to the industry and beyond passionate about Barbering, Charlie Venn is a valued addition to the Uppercut Deluxe Ambassador team.
Modern Classics; Charlie is a master of blending old school style with modern techniques to produce out of this world results.
Time with uppercut Deluxe:
Charlie has been a fan of the brand since buying his first tin nearly 10 years ago. Since then, he’s worked hard to earn a spot in the Uppercut Deluxe Collective and gone above and beyond to join the Ambassador Team.
Why Uppercut Deluxe?:
Uppercut Deluxe had always been a point of inspiration for Charlie; the products themselves, the ambassador team, and the culture behind it all made Charlie dedication to push himself to one day be a part of the team.
When Steve Purcell, Found of Uppercut Deluxe, gave Charlie the call to welcome him to the team he felt like “everything I’ve worked for the past 8 years had come together.
