How would you describe your shop’s vibe?
Approachable, Chill. A safe space for men to feel comfortable enough to open up. A locker room set-up to replicate a sports changing room, which is a place where the “boys” speak freely. This space in our shop is called “HOME OF THE BRAVE”, its their “HOME” ground for “BRAVE” men.
What’s your most popular cut at the moment?
Zero/skin fade crops. Alot of influence from Europe. Short sides with length on top.
Who is your favourite artist to spin in the shop?
Favourite Spotify playlist, ‘Morning motivation’. We love Flume- rushing back
What’s your favourite style to cut?
I love being given ‘free reign’, creating a style that complements both the customer's hair AND head shape. I love a good makeover.
What’s the best tip for someone visiting your area?
Come and get a haircut? Hah. No, the corner cafe called ‘Dinner Rush’ has the world’s best apple pies!
What the best advice for your client before walking in?
Turn up to your appointment early so you are in a calm state, allowing yourself to be in a position to relax and enjoy the service.
Who is your biggest barbering influence?
Being passionate about Men’s Mental Health I find my focus has been the man behind the ‘masks’ that we wear daily. I’ve never had an individual in the industry.y I’ve had influence from however when working at Barebones I Brisbane I’ve always tried to replicate the vibe we had in there.
